Homemade Flap Jacks
So you get up, had your coffee and now you would crave for something to eat, but don’t fancy proper breakfast, just something sweet but healthy’ish?
Yeap! That’s your solution ;) My friend Caroline introduce me them and we are in absolute love in them ever since.
If you think of it could there be anything better then a homemade cereal bar that you know what’s in and is as healthy as you wish?
Ingredients:
350g of oats (I use gluten free)
250g of melted butter (you can use any type of butter, I just love the taste of it)
@150g if dried fruits
@120g of mixed nuts
1x decent pinch of sea salt
1x big tablespoon of peanut butter (optional)
1x big teaspoon of almond butter (optional)
@120-150g of brown sugar
1-2x teaspoons of honey
2x tablespoons of flaxseeds (optional)
2x packages of mix chocolate drops (optional)
Start with heating up the oven til 175 C degrees.
Prepare a square baking tray, line it with baking paper. Leave on a side.
In the meantime melt butter in a small pot. Leave it on a side.
Take a bigger bowl and add your all other ingredients, add butter, mix together and move onto prepared baking tin.
Bake for around 20mins until lovely gold. Leave to cool, chop for smaller pieces and enjoy.
As you can see from ingredients add whatever you wish. It’s like making your own pizza - add your favourite ingredients and trust me it is yum!
